MAKING THESE 10 RELATIONSHIP MISTAKE WILL LEAD TO HAVING MAJOR RELATIONSHIP PROBLEMS.

You’re a bright and beautiful woman with so much to offer and a buzzing life built with your own two perfectly-manicured hands. So why are you settling for so much less when it comes to choosing the person you’ll share it with?

It’s time to stop downplaying your successes, silencing your needs and accommodating bad behavior. You might fly solo a little while longer, but when you do couple-up it will be with someone worth your energy instead of someone who zaps it. So, if you’re guilty of any of these dating mistakes, prepare for inevitable heartbreak.

1. You’re constantly being his cheerleader.
We all have down periods and times when we need support, but constantly spending your energy trying to cheer someone up gets old. If he can’t motivate himself without you doing the rah-rah routine, he’s not relationship material. How can you have a happy, healthy relationship with someone who can’t motivate themselves?

2. You idealize the “future him.”
You know what’s better than seeing someone’s potential? Seeing someone work to achieve it.

3. You’re OK with sexist comments because he’s cute.
He tells you that you have a “great breasts” on the first date. Sorry, WHAT?

4. He has incredibly lazy dating practices.
OK, so maybe the days of showing up with flowers are long gone, but it’s a sad state of affairs when a man texting you “want to get together briefly tonight?” at noon gets us excited about a first date. This is supposed to be the time when he showcases the best part of himself and that’s all he’s offering you?

5. You’re swinging on his yo-yo of promises..
One day he’s all about a commitment, and the next he wants to take things slow. At this age, relationships should progress at a normal pace and consistency matters, especially when it comes to feelings.

6. You downplay your success to protect his ego.
A boss should date a boss or at least someone who’s proud of the fact that you’ve worked your ass off to achieve your goals. If he gets insecure about your success, perhaps he should be inspired to work harder on his own. And really, he should be shining a spotlight on all of your successes, not throwing you shade.

7. You try to change him.
“Oh, you can change that” is a common statement tossed around between girlfriends. Even if you can, why would you want to waste your precious time and energy building your version of a better man? Yes, we can all influence and inspire one another, but real change comes from someone realizing they can do better and want to do better, not from you doing it for him. If the guy is happy with who he is and you’re constantly trying to change him, he will feel you don’t love him for who he is and that’s going to hurt him and have him wanting to find a woman who does.

8. You pretend you don’t really want what you really want.
If you’re looking for a relationship or want to get married and have kids, you should absolutely be honest about that. Agreeing to “Netflix and chill” with someone when you really want a dinner-and-a-movie relationship won’t get you anywhere but frustrated.

9. You allow your biological clock to pressure you into a relationship you’re not fully sure about.
It’s hard when you want children and are single and feeling the pressures of time, but the reality is that having and raising children with someone you’re not sure about isn’t fair to anyone involved, including any future children you may have. If you want a baby, you can have a baby, but to have a baby with a man just because he’s a man is a bad, bad idea.

10. You use cute words and phrases to describe bad behavior.
Ghosting is actually ignoring someone. Referring to your time together as “hanging out” when you’re sleeping together is hurtful.

ELDEE DELIVERS LECTURE ON COPYRIGHT/ IMPORTANT MESSAGE TO UPCOMING ARTISTES

In a series of tweets, the former record label executive pours out bits of information on the concept of copyrights and licencing as it relates to music.

Eldee has come out to share a ton of knowledge on Twitter regarding the music business which is centered around copyrights, music publishing and licencing.
The singer believes hoarding knowledge about such is what stifles growth and hinders innovation.
Nigerian upcoming artistes can benefit from this reservoir of knowledge from the music maestro.
Check on his tweets.
To discuss publishing, we have to understand copyrights. I want to start by explaining copyrights.
COPYRIGHTS give music creators material rights to control ways their songs can be used. As a creator, copyrights are automatically yours as soon as the material is recorded in writing or other digital ways.Say you come up with an original song idea, once the song is in a tangible format, you automatically have legal copyrights.
You could be in the shower and get inspired with some original melodies. Once you write it down or record it on a phone, you own the copyright. The idea is that once the melodies leave your head and are recorded into a tangible medium, you own the copyrights.
Tangible format means it is written on paper, recorded on a tape, CD, mp3, or other formats that can allow you to give it to someone else. Important: If you do not have the work in tangible format, you can not prove that you are the original creator, therefore, give yasef brain!
Tangible formats for your work also helps to time-stamp the work. This will be useful to you if you need proof later of when you created it. VERY important: For you to own the copyrights, the work must be ORIGINAL in the sense that it has not been copied from another work.
If you use previously known melody or lyrics in your work, you can’t claim full ownership of copyrights on such work. If you borrow from existing music, the original writer/composer owns copyrights of your new creation and you must get permission to sell it.
Remember, for you to own copyrights, the work must be recorded in writing or other formats (on a CD, tape, mp3 or other digital formats). What do copyrights do for you as a creator? - The general idea is to give you control over how people interact with or use your work.
Your control of the copyrights of your works is what enables you to exploit your creation i.e. Make money from it. Copyrights prohibits all others from the use of a song without the express authorization of the creator or copyright owner.
Copyrights can only be transferred from the creator to someone else on a document that is signed by both parties. Any use of a musical work in which copyright exists without the express authorization of the owner is an infringement.
When you sign a record deal, you are giving the record label authorization to sell the songs you will create during the contract. When you sign with a VAS company to sell your ringtones and ring back tunes, you are giving them authorization. Get it?
You can also give authorization to a person or company which allows them to give authorizations to others on your behalf. Now let's break down the copyrights that exist in a song…Who is a Songwriter? Composer? Performer?
There is a distinction between the SONGWRITER(S) and COMPOSER(S) that create a song and the PERFORMER(S) that record the song. Songwriters come up with the words/lyrics/melodies. Composers create melodies/beats and a Performer is the person who sings it (vocals).
Songwriters & composers are similar. They both create melodies. Difference is composers typically don’t write lyrics but don’t quote me yet. Semantics of the Composer/Songwriter distinction is on-going argument in many circles. I’ll go in depth in another session.
To simplify it for now, think of a Composer as what we call “producer” nowadays and Songwriter as the person who writes the word/lyrics. Sometimes the Performer (Artist) is also the Songwriter, or even the Composer as well. I was that guy on my first 2 albums.
There are 2 copyrights in every recording. Represented by the ℗ and ©. You’ve probably seen those on CD inserts & credits.
The ℗is the SOUND RECORDING copyright symbol. The actually stands for “phonogram”. This copyright belongs to the Record Label.
The © is the copyright for the song (lyrics, composition). It belongs to the songwriter and/or Composer. Eg. John Lennon & Paul McCartney wrote “Yesterday” (Songwriters/composers). Boys2men recorded a version (Performers) while signed to Motown.
Breaks down like this: Paul McCartney and John Lennon own the ©. Motown owns the ℗ and pays Boys 2 Men royalties from selling the new version. Important: Boys2Men do not own the © nor the ℗ for that song. They simply get royalties from the sale of their own version by their label.
Owning the © means you or your representative has to authorize anybody who wants to use your work in whole or as a part of another project. So Boys2Men/Motown must get permission from Paul McCartney & John Lennon or the publisher in order to record the song & sell it.
Another example: I wrote & produced the Goldie(RIP) song "You know it", so I own the ©. She was signed to kennis Music so they own the ℗. If Rihanna records the song, I still own the ©, & RocNation owns the ℗ for the new version. Kennis still owns the ℗ for Goldie’s version.
Long story short: Songwriters and Composers are the original rights owners of lyrics and melody, the ©. Record label owns and can only exploit its recorded version, its own SOUND RECORDING, the ℗ copyright. It is sometimes called the “Master”.
Some songwriters/composers give their song copyright © to the record label as well. Depends on what you sign with the record label. Music publishers often acquire © copyrights from songwriters/composers. We’ll discuss publishing and types of publishing deals later.
Simply put, song copyright © protects your lyrics & melody only. Sound recording copyright ℗ covers that particular recording of the song.
Next… There are 6 different copyright authorizations that can be issued to third parties who wish to use your work/song. 6 copyrights when you create a song - Distribution, Reproduction, Public Performance, Digital transmissions, Derivatives, Public display.
These rights allow you to choose who can distribute, reproduce, play in public, play on radio, show it on tv, sell ringtones etc.
I’m sure by now you’ll agree that it's imperative to have a lawyer if you're in this business, and not just any lawyer.
In order to make sense of Music publishing, you must have a clear understanding of music copyrights.
The producer would continue with music publishing lecture in next session. Watch out for this.

Hope you found this post helpful and useful?
thanks for logging to Princess Adetutu Blog.

HOW TO TELL IF YOU HAVE BAD BREATH...

Bad breath can be embarrassing. It's easy to unwittingly walk around with a mouth full of halitosis until a brave friend–or, worse, a crush or romantic partner–tells you that your breath smells bad. Fortunately, there are several "breath tests" that you can perform on yourself to discern what your breath smells like. These methods may not tell you exactly what other people smell, but they should give you a good indication.

Smelling Your Saliva

LICK THE INSIDE OF YOUR WRIST

Lick the inside of your wrist. Wait 5-10 seconds for the saliva to dry. Try to do this discreetly–when you're alone–and not in a public place, or you may get strange looks from those around you. Avoid trying this test just after you've brushed your teeth, used mouthwash, or eaten something minty, as a freshly-cleaned mouth may give you inaccurate results.

SMELL THE INSIDE OF YOUR WRIST WHERE THE SALIVA

Smell the inside of your wrist where the saliva has dried. This is, more or less, what your breath smells like. If it smells unsavory, then you may need to improve your dental hygiene. If it doesn't smell like anything, then your breath probably isn't too badbut you might need to try another self-test to be sure.
Bear in mind that this method primarily pulls saliva from the tip (anterior portion) of your tongue, which is fairly self-cleansing. Thus, smelling your licked wrist will only tell you how the best-smelling part of your tongue smells
and most bad breath tends to originate from the back of the mouth where it meets the throat. [1]
You can wash the saliva off of your wrist, but don't worry if you don't have access to water or sanitizer since the smell will dissipate quickly as the skin dries.
If your breath problems are relatively minor, you may not be able to smell much. If you're still worried, consider trying another self-testing method to give yourself a "second opinion".

TRY SWABBING THE BACK OF YOUR TONGUE

Try swabbing the back of your tongue. Use a finger or a piece of cotton gauze to reach deep into your mouth–but not so far back as to trigger your gag reflex–and wipe the surface of your tongue at the back of your mouth. Any bad-breath bacteria lurking back there will come off onto the swabbing tool. Sniff the swab (your finger or the cotton) for an accurate sense of how the back of your mouth smells.
This method may reveal bad breath more precisely than merely licking your arm. Chronic halitosis is caused by bacteria that breed on your tongue and between your teeth – and most of these bacteria congregate near the back of your mouth. The tip of your tongue is fairly self-cleaning, and you may clean the front of your mouth more regularly than the back of your mouth. [2]
Try swishing with antibacterial mouthwash–in the front and the back of your mouth–to keep bacteria from hiding out on the back of your tongue. Gargle with mouthwash, if you can, to keep bad-breath bacteria from congregating in your throat opening. When you brush your teeth, make sure to brush your furthest back teeth, and be sure to brush your tongue and gums.

It's really good to take note of your health especially your mouth.
